In life, we seek out those that love as hard we do, through our highs and lows. We all long for
understanding and purpose; clarity in both, who we are and why we are here. This year has underscored
why it is important to first establish self-love and then extend that nurturing spirit outward to family and
community. We must regard the lives of strangers with the same compassion as we would our own – be
our brother’s keeper.
Afeni’s vision for her family, a path of light and love, has brought us here. The Shakur legacy truly
beholds a heart of empathy. The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation through our outreach and
programming aims to help eradicate the effects of trauma, offering not only support, but hope. Our
Memorial Planting is a symbol to highlight the importance of creative expression and spiritual cultivation
that Tupac embodied.
Afeni Shakur, Tupac Shakur, and all those that we have lost, we speak your name with reverence;
ensuring that your time with us was not in vain. As Afeni continues to guide us and Tupac unceasingly
inspires us, uphold one another on this collective journey and grow.
