Afeni Shakur was an activist and businesswoman who was the mother of Icon Tupac Shakur and daughter Sekyiwa Shakur. Afeni formed the Foundation to bring quality arts training to young people. During the past 20 years, a broad range of creative arts training was offered via annual Performing Arts Day Camps which were held at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts, in Stone Mountain Georgia. Today, the focus of TASF is to support overall mental health and wellness, and to continue to use the Creative Arts as a tool for healing and personal growth.
In Honor of Tupac’s Mother, Afeni Shakur, our Foundation established the AFENI SHAKUR LEGACY FUND to assist disenfranchised and marginalized women of color that are 45 years of age and above, who are in need of financial support.
To support our fund, please text AFENI to 44321 to Donate and support women in need.
